The College Portfolio for Success
The College Portfolio for Success is an innovative, research-driven text for
first-year students, designed to be used with first-year seminar or orientation
programs. The Portfolio program was created through the collective efforts of a
professional staff of researchers, writers, and college faculty/administrators
Dr. George Stevens, who has more than 30 years experience in program
development, founded and directed the three-year project of creating the
College Portfolio for Success. After a team of Ph.D.'s directed the research and writing of the text, Dr.
Stevens and his staff field-tested it in 30 universities in a ten-state area.
The positive response from those surveyed was overwhelming.

The College Portfolio for Success features a curriculum customized for
first-year students. The curriculum was developed from a national survey of college educators. The program also features an Educators Guide designed to enhance faculty
planning and teaching. These and other field-tested features of the Portfolio
provide vital information to both students and instructors in a modern, user-
friendly style.
